Portland Students want to rename school after Obama

Students are trying to get a Portland school renamed after President-elect Barack Obama.

Portland Public Schools was already in the process of renaming the school currently known as "Clark K-8 at Binnsmead School" and a naming committee is working on a list of suggestions that the public will eventually vote on.

But after the November election, some of the students go the idea to throw Obama's name into the ring.

The Federal Reserve has decided to keep a key interest rate unchanged as it uses other tools to try to assist the troubled financial system.
Stocks, which initially turned lower again after the announcement, moved back into positive territory in late afternoon trading.
The central bank said it was keeping its target for the federal funds rate, the interest that banks charge on overnight loans, unchanged at 2 percent.
