This is the most outragous story I have seen on TV recenlty. It is so unnewsworthy I am begin to wonder who is running the news. I am so glad I have a remote control.

Where is the outrage on this?
There is no proof or evidence that this family has done anything at all except what they have stated. The Colorado sheriff who has been quoted as having his “AHHA” moment where he stated that he knew from non-verbal cues from the family and the one statement in the middle of an interview from a six year old boy that that this was a stunt.
Where are the facts and where is the evidence?
That the family likes to do some unusual activities together and that the family has appeared on a reality TV show in no way makes them guilty of anything.
The rush to justice and the media firestorm accepting this sheriff’s pronouncement that the family is guilty without any evidence or facts to prove his statement is terribly troubling.
This is precisely why I feel it is of critical importance to have every thinking person who has critical thinking skills to accept the responsibility of participating in a jury when asked by the local establishments. Many (most) people don’t want to be bothered with the inconvenient job of sitting on jury’s. Please remember—that if the only people who are remaining and left who agree to sit on a jury are people who don’t have critical thinking skills and have the strength of character to question supposed “facts” which are presented to them will likely have more miscarriages of justices.
Think for one minute if you are falsely accused of a crime and have no choice but to use the criminal justice process to tell and show and explain your story. If the people on the jury aren’t sharp enough, many people falsely accused will have their lives ruined.
I have no way of knowing what the facts are in the Colorado case. If there are facts and evidence known (either from interviews or from legal searches) please at a minimum state that there are facts to support the allegation that the sheriff has made. Absent the facts—the sheriff’s allegation and statement that these people are guilty based on his “intuition” makes him judge and jury. I find this very, very frightening and troublesome.

Joel - Wake up and listen or watch the latest news. Are you the only one who can't see it for a hoax??

Maxwell,
The news on TV are reporting what the sheriff has stated I have not seen one thing which states any facts proving their guilt in this matter.
One additional comment--the role of the sheriff is to uphold the laws of the land--not act as judge and jury.
I will let the facts of the case determine if this was a hoax or not. Not opinions.

The other evening I turned on the cable news and on 4 stations all at the same including NWCN was this story. I asked myself what gives? Obama is leading this country to Hell in a hand basket and this is the best that they can put on the news. What a non story, which a year from today no one will remember, but not to say the same for the Obama/Poloci/Reid policies being rammed through the Senate and Congress which will have far more impact on the people of this country than a couple of sorry people looking for their 15 minutes of fame.

I can't wait till the media stops talking about this crap. It is so not worth anyone's time. The family did this to get publicity, and that's exactly what the media is giving them. Stop giving them what they want
