I watched the telecast on TV whether Glenn Beck should get the key to the city. The issue I had is that the people interviewed said Glenn did not represent them. The TV station identified the protesters as "democrates" and it appeared that only they had would represent the views of MT. Vernon and no other opinions should be considered. I am sadden at how our country is becoming a "only my opinion is important and it must be democratic". I am an independent who votes for both republicans and democrates based on the information each candidate provides during the election campaign. I wish our country would be more open minded. I am so sorry. When I see all off the hate coming from these comments it makes me sad. I am 65 years old. This is a far different world than I have experienced most of my life. As you guessed, I reached my 20's in the middle of the 60's and I remember a lot of peace and love floating around. I don't see much of this today. I would just like to see a little more understanding and a little softer attitude. I am not extremely optimistic for my children and grandchildren to experience the same nation that I experienced. When I set in front of my TV set with my daughter, who was a senior in high school, and watched the second airplane fly into the second twin tower, I made a comment to her. "Mark my word, this is history you are watching. You will never again in your life time experience the same level of freedom, or the same level of life in your lifetime that your mother and I have experienced," I believe it now more than ever. Thank God that we still, for a while have the freedom of speech to allow a Glen Beck to speak so openly (like him or not). Unfortunately, there are those in this country who are willing to trample on 1st amendment rights and silence anyone from the public media who they do not agree with whether tv, radio or print.

You are so right about our government trying to push the U.S. toward communism. My great uncle and some of his family also escaped Russia before it got too bad. His oldest 2 sons and their families didn't make it out. All their possessions were taken away from them - they owned nothing - no home, no land, no horses, no work, no weapons, no religion, and no HOPE. The communist government did provide handouts rationing food limits and cheap vodka. They figured if they could keep the Russians drunk, there would be less uprisings. So many of the people starved and died very young. One of my cousin's whole family was executed for speaking against the communist regime! i googled it and the latest AP shows 33 corporate pullouts, those are some pretty big global companies that have dumped him. you might think one CEO "so what" but that one CEO has the pen that signs the checks. when you have huge trusted companies turning away from someone it is a big deal. keep on slammin me if somehow you think by changing the subject will help you but you dont have to take my word for it, google it and see what the news reports are saying.

S.C. Johnson denies they pulled ads, and are still advertising on the G.B. show, Clorox is not advertising on any political show, General Mills first pulled ads from Olbermann's show and then decided not to advertise on any political show. Sargento yanked all ads on Cable TV; Expedia, State Farm, Binder, and Bank of America is back advertising on Beck; Verizon says their company never pulled their ads. We gathered these names from those 2 sleazy websites above. Some of the companys did pull their ads, but reinstated them a couple days later. Of course those far left hate-mongering websites aren't about to let anyone know that the companys have returned and the ones who didn't return are not advertising on any of the political talk shows. Latest figures show the boycott against Glen Beck causes Beck's ratings to go thru the roof. I've been recording Beck's program since last week and all the companies that withdrew advertising are now back except 2. Fox news stated they didn't welcome all of them back and because of the high ratings for Beck's shows, they are charging more for advertising and this commercials are elite.

My wife (who has been gone for 2 weeks taking care of her sick mother)came silently in the house while I was blogging and lambasted me for judging you and said I needed to apologize to God and you - and mean it. After 2 miserable hours of silence from her, I realize she and you are right. A true Christian doesn't have the right to judge anyone. And, since I try (most of the time)to live by the bible that says that we are supposed to turn the other cheek istead of fighting. That could also mean fighting with words. Julie also told me if I couldn't say something good about someone, say nothing at all.I just want you to know that it isn't easy to apologize and eat humble pie. Would you accept my apology? Wow, I didn't expect that...your wife is very right. I don't know who/what erv is but I accept your apology and I too apologize. Unfortunately politics brings out the worst in me and many others as we feel our well deserved freedom is at stake and feel this country is being torn in half. And when someone judges me and questions my faith it does make me very defensive. I do have a strong relationship with our Lord but I'm not perfect and I do falter. I don't think you need anger management, I think you're just passionate about your political views. I do not like what Obama is doing to our country right now but unfortunately he is the President and we need to deal with it somehow. I pray it will all turn out okay.

Does anyone know what Glen Beck's stand is on war? We've watched him and haven't heard any views about war. The main reason we voted for Barack Obama was he said he would bring the soldiers home and we think a lot of military families voted the same, to get their kids home. We have 2 sons at war: the oldest is in Iraq and youngest was just deployed to Afganistan and we're just sick about how dangerous it is over there. Now, the government wants to send thousands more troups. No, no, no, please Mr. Obama keep your promise and bring them home. Maybe we should have a woman for president. Moms and most women hate war!

Watched your show yesterday and was appalled to see you boil a live frog. But on today's show you showed that it was actually a plastic frog. Most of signatures on the petition against Glenn Beck Day were from the organizations of NAACP and ACORN. They also are bussing members to Seattle and Mount Vernon to protest. My friend Ruby is a member of the NAACP. Like Obama she is half white and half black, she likes the President and Glenn, so she chose not to protest. I do think all those protestors are just making Glenn Beck even more popular and famous.
