Should tax payers be paying for specialty housing for the obese?

id like to touch on another sort of gorging ones self. corporate ceos who gorge them selvs on millions and millions of compensation and bonuses then still run thier companies into the ground. then they still keep gorging them selves. wouldnt it make better sense if these companies eliminated these obscene pay packages and golden parachutes and put that money into a rainy day fund so when the economy goes in the tank that the company could stay afloat with out relying on government bailouts?
why in either case should the tax payers get saddled with debt caused by those who desire more than thier fair share or what they need?

I am overweight and I say no. Talk about an enabler. Being overweight or obese, with some exceptions, is NOT a disability. There are some people who cannot prevent weight gain due to some medical condition, but most of us heavier people are that way because we are just plain lazy. Don't enable that. Don't punish the tax payers because of our lifestyle choices.

If this is to be a structured housing situation where these people are being taught to learn a new lifestyle so they don't have this problem in the future and there is a limit to the time that can be spent there OK. I've been overweight--I'm just under 5'10" and weight almost 200--but I did something about it. I walk more than two miles to work each day and back again. Going home, the last eleven blocks are up-hill. I'll be 60 my next birthday and I'm now managing to keep my weight down to around 165. I do not want to pay because people are too lazy to exercise or eat properly. They need to stop stuffing themselves and get off their fat a**es and exercise more.

There are multiple problems people face every day and as a nation we are more obese than we used to be mostly do to technology and pure laziness. Having said that there are those that are obese purely because of being dealt a poor genetic coding. I would rather see the state help out with surgery rather than house these poor souls and watch the clock tick. I have had medical issues all my life but the best thing I ever did was get up and do what I could about it by eating right and excercising. I realize this won't work for everyone but it is a step in the right direction. So after all that I would simply say "No" I am against this faction of our society getting help because then where does it stop. I say worry more about our health care system or lack of!

Put them in a BIG house and that Big CHAIR in WALLA WALLA.For every drug dealer someone die's from there drugs,some of them are , are little children. If we are Fat we can Help our self, but the children can't . Also we spent enought money getting us fat, it keeps the fast foods places going, keeps someone a job they are hard to come by these days. My mom is morbidly obese, but she manages to get up everyday and work full time. She does struggle to find work, because people do discriminate against the obese. BUT SHE WORKS, even if it means working as a cashier and dealing with jerks and snobs everyday. She owns her own home and pays the mortgage. My mom blames no one but herself for her condition and expects nothing from society, except for what everyone else is entitled to. When you talk about creating housing for the obese, you're essentially saying that they cannot take care of themselves. Let them keep their dignity... instead of housing, help then find a job, or provide them with training. Do something to help boost their self confidence! Now I have found ways around the expensive food costs to eat properly and I am loosing weight. I believe that if it is medically proven, then yes they should get special care.

I am overweight and I say no. Talk about an enabler. Being overweight or obese, with some exceptions, is NOT a disability.
