does mccain think his past involvement in the faied savings and loans witch cost the tax payers something like 2.5 billion was the sort of learning experience that now makes him think he can contribute to this latest financial mess?
What will each of you do to stop big business from being able to be irresponsible with their firms, banks etc. and then have the government bail them out? What will each of you do to support the average American citzen instead of mega companies? And what will each of you do to stop the airline mergers which can only result in higher prices and fewer choices for consumers. Do you feel that the 911 bailout made the airlines more responsible or just gave them, the airlines, the funds they needed to replace the millions they had invested in making their online presence strong?

I would like to know what both candidates are willing to do to help those home owners on the brink of foreclosure? We keep hearing about bailing out Wall Street, well if rich financial companies deserve a bail out, why not families on the brink of homelessness?

How was the $700 billion figure for the bailout reached?
Given that the US Government finances are in such disarray that it simply can't be audited, who are the candidates to criticize crooked Wall St. firms.
I have a Lynyrd Skynyrd 8-track that I value at $175,000. However, given the current market conditions, I am unable to find a buyer willing to pay what I think it's worth. Where is my bailout check?
Sen. McCain, your wife committed a serious drug crime but, was not charged or convicted of anything. Did her wealth and/or, your position as senator shield her from prosecution?
Followup: would any of the millions of convicted drug criminals be serving a sentence right now if they were married to members of congress.
Sen. Obama, Gov. Palin, you've both admitted to using drugs in your past. Millions of other americans have committed equal or lesser crimes but, had the bad luck to get caught. Do you think it's fair that you had an opportunity to turn your lives around while those who were caught will carry a drug conviction (which makes them ineligible for many federal programs, including student loans) with them for the rest of their lives.
After Congress passed the new CAFE fuel economy standards with a target date of 2020, the CEO of Hyundai stated that his company was on target to meet those standards by 2015. The big-3 U.S. automakers have lobbied for $25 billion in gov't backed loans to meet the standard. At the same time the big-3 have lobbied to have the standards waived because they will be unable to meet them. Are U.S. automakers that bad? Are South Korean automakers that good? How many people does Hyundai employ in the U.S. How many does each of the big-3? Are those numbers growing or shrinking for each employer?
Please describe in detail why these bailouts are necessary.

McSame wanted so much to avoid this debate, and who can blame him, the economy is falling apart around him because of Bush/Cheney/GOP economics that he supported in all 8 years of Bush/Cheney and now they must be accountable to America for it. Obama will expose the GOP becasue they lose on ALL issues, they have nothing going for them, NOTHING! And Palin, my gosh, she has been out of sight for good reason, she has been exposed as a huge liability. She crumbled horribly when interviewed by Mr. Gibson, Ms. Curic and even when Sean Hannity tried so hard to kiss her ass; she is WAY over her head and all who witnessed those interviews clearly saw it. Hell, even the ultra right wingers agree after seeing those, they now see the folly of McSame's bad decision making.

I agree, Joe Biden will tear Palin a new one and expose her as the wannabe she really is. You have not seen her because she has been behind closed doors prepping for her debate against Biden. The GOP is prepping her hard and holding their breath for they know the embarrassment that is coming when Biden exposes her for all to see.
She really did look awful in those interviews, and they were friendly. There is just no substance behind the smilly face. I pity her supporters, the desperate brain-washed fools they are.
It is a slap in the face to the GOP by not picking one of the millions more qualified that she.

I would like each candidate to tell the American public HOW this bailout is going to be paid for in the long run. As I see it, it is going to fall back on people like my family, middle class, as well as the lower class, by raising their taxes to cover the big corporation financial problems who already get the big tax breaks. Will these corporations be paying the government back their billions of dollars to bail them out or the American people? I would also like to get answers as to HOW they are going to help all the people out there that are losing their homes. If the government can help these big corporations, then you would think they can help these people as well. And then what about health issues! What and HOW are they going to deal with that? The price of gas, I would like an answer from each them as to that as well. The cost of living that is rising every day. As it stands right now, everything that you have to pay for is going up and up and up, but not the wages! How are each them going to deal with that? I can understand that this bailout issue is very important to our country but I don't want to see the whole debate revolve around that. I'd like to see their answers to other issues as well.

Get real all you ultra libral gomers.
Just because a person doesn't have the smooth lines down doesn't mean that person wouldn't make a good leader for this country. Clinton was a very practiced speaker yet had the morals of an alley cat. He had no respect for the office of president and less respect for his wife.
Do you think Bill is a role model for your children?
Obama is a "smooth" speaker. Just remember how smooth it will be when you have to bend over and get the shaft from the "great savior" OBAMA.
How many fools really believe in his great economic policies? Higher taxes on corporations?
Sounds like just the thing. Only - you end up paying those higher taxes because the corporations pass them on to you in the form of higher prices for the things you buy.
Wake up Gomer. OBAMA IS ON THE WAY TO SAVE YOU!

Hey Cheryl, you right wing brainwashed con-menservatives are pitiful. You cannot go a day without bringing up Bill Clinton only in some vain attempt to pull attention away from the past 8 years of misery Your people have done in the White House and to this country. Talk about brining shame to the office of the Presidency, lets talk about allowing us to get attacked on 9-11-2001, lets talk about thwarting the constitution, introducing torture, creating a a concentration camp in Cuba, ignoring Federal Subpoenas, firing federal prosecutors that were not ultra right wingers like yourself, inventing weapons of mass destruction and taking us into a war that has kept no one safe, allowing loans to go unchecked, tax breaks to the rich, bad armor for our troops, being weak on Afghansistan (where the real war is), etc, etc, see how foolish you look when you bring up Clinton!! Give us a freakin break! So, I guess Bush and Cheney and Stevens are your kids role models, Heaven help you!
