Baby High Heels

Two Washington Mothers have launched a brand of shoes for infants called "Heelarious."
The shoes are for girls up to 6 months-old and have a squishy heel for safety purposes.

What do think of high heels for babies?

Oh, please. This is just too sad to even be real. Do Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, JonBenet Ramsey, etc, mean anything? Children who are pushed to be "sexy" too soon see nothing but nightmares when they are older (if they live that long). Please, parents. Please, use some common sense.

unbelievably STUPID, why?????????????????? a cpl of mothers who probably shouldnt have kids, whats up with wacked out America these days, seems to be getting worse by the day anymore

Ridiculous! This can't be good for the kids' feet. Also, it can't be a good way for the kids to learn how to walk. Not to mention the fact that they are ugly! There is plenty of time to buy heels for your kids...wait until they are older!

can u say "WACKOS", i feel sorry for their kids & husbands having to live with such WACKOS who lack simple common sense

It isn't enough that some mom's dress their young girls like trash to emulate Britney, Paris, Bratz Dolls etc. but... OMG baby high heels? Is makeup, a thong and pushup bras for infants next?

These are innocent children and should be able to enjoy that as long as possible without these "adults" trying to live vicariously through them by dressing them like sex objects.

It's not cute. It's disturbing.

I am just disgusted watching these women who obviously have nothing else to do with their lives. Did you hear the one woman say (referring to the shoes), "It was all I could think of at my daughter's fourth birthday party." What an idiot. I feel sorry for the kids of these women who clearly have no chance at a good upbringing.

And here I was thinking that the little bras that my 11 year old granddaughter started wearing were too much!!...

The most misappropriate age thing I have every seen! We put too much on fancy styles and making kids look grown up to fast; and then wonder why they want to dress like they do when they become teens? They learn if from this kind of stuff.

The babies couldn't even stand properly when being held on their feet. I can see the 'broken ankles' coming up and the sueing happen.

Its stupid and makes me sick to my stomach to see this stuff.

I totally agree with the previous bloggers. This is absolutely insane. Now, nothing was said about these high heels being just for girl babies. Interesting. These little people are also going to be by Podiatrists and Orthopaedists. Do these inventors of baby high heels even think about what the impact will be on bone structure, and everything related to human growth??? INSANE!!!!!!!

Come on people! These are soft squishy heals meant to be cute and fun! Not meant for walking around. When you put your baby in her carseat and put on her "heels" and people say "oh how cute", that is all. Somebody wrote that they are being pushed to be "sexy", what about the people who put their little girls in a bikini to go the pool. Is that pushing them to be sexy too? These are just cute girly shoes to wear for fun.

oops!! The article did mention for 6 months old girls. that's what happens when one doesn't read the WHOLE thing!!!.

Is it also cute when someone puts their toddler in a pair of pants with "cutie" on the butt? Is that appropriate? Or do parents freak out when sexual predators are on the rise and checking out your young childs butt because you are asking them to by putting words on their bottom?

I think heels for babies is just rediculous. What ever happened to a cute pink dress or a "princess outfit" to look cute? I understand that they are for when you put your baby in teh car-seat or in it's stroller when you are at the mall (as "mp" says they are) but you had better remember to remove them when they are around the house or anywhere where they are actually attempting to use their body to move and learn and grow. They won't learn any faster with those on.

I think it a great idea. Let's get our women folk hot and slutty early on....Great move, wish I would have thought of it! I think at 12 they should seriously start thinking of breast implants, C'mon parents help us guys out over here... Oh yeah! Then give the girls condems at 14, this is sooooo coool! Then we need to lower the drinking age to 16, for they is a good age to add alcohol to the mix... Great, I'm on bored, join me!!

These women who are selling these are immature, materialistic, self-serving, insensitive borderline child abusers along with anyone who purchases these items. Maybe they were abused or sexualized and objectified themselves and are still living in denial. This is NOT funny or cute. This is awful. Giving girls Barbies, bikinis, adult makeup and other such adult like toys and attire for little girls is the same thing. Children are precious human beings, not material objects, things or even considered a possession. They are gifts to us... not here to be called cute nor to be put on display. They are young human beings that deserve great love, guidance and respect. This product and the fact that mothers are purchasing it is a very sad thing.

This is beyond reason. Let them design for themselves. Don't you ladies have anything else to do?

I think its a great idea, dress up the young sexy little girls and let me at them! I will make women out of them that props alone cannot do. I could be your worst nightmare folks...so please rethink this strategy OR we are waiting with baited breath and salivating tongues.. So, be afraid, be very afraid!

amanda said:

I think they're adorable and I actually have a pair! you all who are bashing them and mothers who have them are ignorant morrons! How are soft squishy heels going to effect bone structure on babies who can't walk yet!? Retard! It's pure fun and cuteness and not sexual in any way! Your grandma wears heels to church, I'm sure you do too, are you trying to be sexy? No! Grow up!

scarlett said:

Nice call taj-
just got a pair for 35 at www.redBAMBINA.com

They are so sweet and innocent!

Its just the same as buying a cute pair of shoes. Its not as if a parent is making their baby girl learn to walk in high heels. Its not trying to make your girl sexy, im sure thats the last thing people are trying to do. Its cute! Im sure everyone can find something much more important to worry about other then bashing other people!
