Picking Biden may help Obamas chance's with some voter's but not me...He lost my vote when he voted for Fisa, after 46 year's of being a Democrat I'm voting for Mckenna.

I think it's a terrible idea. Obama has something new on his side. I think he should have run with someone other than another old white guy. Not sure who, just someone different. I'm 50 and white myself. But I found myself hoping he would find a female for VP. Shake things up a bit.

it had me wondering if he was going to let sex or race decide who was going to be his running mate or was it going to be the best qualified. i dont know alot about biden and i was a edwards supporter. when edwards dropped out i thought what a bummer and at that time didnt know much about obama. well then i thought edwards would be a good VP and was wrong about that too. with bidens 35 years service i doubt there will be any surprises.

it also seems he has the foreign experience this ticket needs so i think he will be more involved rather than just being a figure head.

To tell you the truth it really does not matter to me who picks who as a running mate because there is not one canidate out there worth voting for. This is the saddest year for a presidental elections, I would much rather go through 8 more years of Bush!! so now you know what I think about Obama and Biden .... who?......!

c said:

Thanks Sal .. due to people like you this country is really gonna go down the drain. The banks are bust, no one can't afford a house, the gas prices have skyrocketed, the world hates the US and thats just a few examples. Really .. Bush has been doing great the last 8 years.

sal said:

lets put all things aside, do you really think that the US is ready for an Obama, with all that is going on and how americans in reality hate ourselves and what we are doing and where we are in war and how the economy is going do we really want to swing for the fences with Obama, really look at his political stands and look at where we are. Also "c" I cant afford a house let alone afford a car to put gas in!

I think this is a great choice. Obama is a brilliant man, he knows what he's doing. Biden will continue to serve this country well. I do, however, love McCain's commercial response!
As I recall, it was Bush's 2000 campaign and Karl Rove politics that suggested McCain's Bangladeshi born daughter was his own, illegitimate black love-child. And now look how cosy they've become. It's just like the Republicans to hope that we've forgotten all the politics they've played.

I didn't care who he picked because if Obama does becomes the next president, it's all going to be for the minorities. Whether it's race or the poor, minorities are going to get whatever they want. And as far as all these foreclosures, for the most part, this is do to people overspending and wanting the best of everything. Gotta have a house they couldn't afford, gotta have a couple cars and then there are all the luxuries (boats, motorhomes, fancy TVs, too many luxuries on the kids, etc.) I don't feel sorry for them. Living beyond your means and this is what you get folks. Quit blaming everyone else and the government for your stupidity.

The change message was just lost with this choice!!

Obama/Biden, a disaster in the making

The "poor" are a minority? Just another sign that you republicans are so far out of touch it's almost funny......almost.

nothing says change more than a 36 yr senator

It's like he's admitting he lacks experience.

Charlie said it best! For instance, the front page article in the Oregonian today. What a pathetic story about the couple who couldn't
manage their finances and are blaming the bank!
Also, everyone knows that the congress controls
the checkbook of our country. Bush has vetoed
many spending bills but not all. Congress is to blame for most of the crisis in our country..
high oil prices as well! We need to clean house and get rid of Pelosi and Reid. New leadership
in congress is needed. Vote your pocketbook
and send people to congress who will spend our money carefully, thoughtfully and frugally!
Record deficits are back..thank you democrats!

c said:

Teri,

Not only the people are to blame, but the banks also. Wow .. they are suprised that the loans they gave to people without a job are defaulting? Teri .. the deficits are to blame for the current people in charge who are fighting 2 wars ... one of them should never have been fought and cost a Trillion dollars. Thats the 'commander in chief' for ya.

Its indeed funny that most Republicans are so out of touch with reality. Maybe its time to stop watching Fox News for a while .. you might learn something :D

it kills me when the republicans stick thier thumbs in thier suspenders saying see the surge is working but its like we forgot the whole war was started over a pack of republican lies.

pnly a republican could be proud of something like that.

DM said:

Political parties are the problem, Republican & Democrats are the worse of all. Unable to think for themselves, they just follow party lines, I have no respect for any political party or the dumbasses in em

Teri said:

C- You obviously did not read the article I quoted. The couple both have full-time jobs, a large home in Portland, mutiple rental properties,
the ocean property and a solid credit report.
Mismanagement of their finances is their problem and we're supposed to feel sorry for them?
Yes, let's blame someone else and not take responsibility.
Again, the democrats in congress control the checkbook and are the ONLY ones that can authorize spending..the president just signs it
or vetoes the legislation. The democrat congress is spending us into oblivion. They control all the spending at the federal level. Know your facts. Vote for disciplined people of either party to keep spending down and taxes low!
We need a new congress!

Disappointed Hillary was not selected, she was the better choice. This is going to be a repeat of 2004. For those of you who think -- check out the movie: Uncounted - the new math of American elections. www.uncountedthemovie.com.

all this talk about obama not having enough experience does that mean the republicans think bush had the experience when he got into office and now believe he is still going in the right direction?

it amazes me the republicans still have any supporters, how could a group screw anything up any more than they have.

IT IS OBVIOUSLY A GREAT CHOICE THAT HAS THE CON-MENSERVATIVES ALREADY SHAKING. JOHN MCSAME PROMISES FOUR MORE YEARS OF BUSH POLICES THAT ARE PRO-MULTI MILLIONAIRES (TAX BREAKS), PRO-BIG-OIL, PRO-DRUG COMPANIES, ETC. AMERICA CANNOT AFFORED 10 BILLION A MONTH ON IRAQ, AS MCSAME WANTS TO KEEP. WAKE UP! MCSAME PROMISES MORE OF THE SAME...

HOW ABOUT OBAMA'S WIFE'S SPEECH, MY GOSH, SHE IS A FIRST LADY OF THE PEOPLE, NOT THE MILLIONAIRES. LOOK AT MCSAME'S WIFE, SHE IS BORN AND BRED MILLIONAIRESS, SHE INHERITED MILLIONS, NEVER WORKED A DAY IN HER LIFE, AND SHOPS CONSTANTLY, YEAH, WE CAN RELATE TO HER, HUH?? THIS ELECTION IS A NO-BRAINER, YOU ARE EITHER FOR CHANGE OR FOR MORE OF THE MCSAME....

I agree, Biden is a strong choice and gives Obama a strong allie. The Republicans have run this country into the ground, we are the most hated country in the world because of their reckless, arrogant, and misguided policies. The Republicans do nt want to debate the issues because they lose on ALL of them. They would rather you focus on Obama's preacher, 1960's activities, etc, which represents nothing more than the last gasp of the establishment.

Look at what the presidency does to a man, it ages them considerabley. Look at pictures of presidents the day they are inagurated and then a few years later, the office ages you quickly. How in the world could any sane human being want to put a 72 year old in that position?? It's suicide for him and this country.

denice said:

Biden is a great choice. Obama knows what America needs and Biden can help him. It's time to bring equality back to America. The republicans favor the rich and special interests which creates a hazardous divided between the haves and have nots.....
Obama/Biden "get it" lets support them on NOv, 4th. It is for the common good.

erv said:

well i think biden a 36 yr senator with all of his international experience would be better qualified to run this country should something happen to the president compared to mccains vp. should something happen to mccain we would have a first term govonor running the most powerful country in the world. only a republican would put this country at that sort of wreckless risk.

she seems like a nice person but jeezus. did everyone else turn mccain down or does he just wanna shoot himself in the foot.

What strikes me is that Sarah Palin has more experience than Obama...and he is running for president??? That is incredible!!!
I teach marketing at a local college and I can assure you people that Obama's campaign is a classic marketing study. Bill Clinton said it right...Obama's campaign is a fairy tale. I have material from an organization named Axxiom that created the marketing message for Obama. The key word that their focus groups came up with was "change" The rational is if he says it consistently it it will take hold, and it has with very syupid people who don't understand what is going on.
