The cover of the New Yorker is very funny. It does what all good satire does and should do: it takes all the criticizm that Crybaby Obama has been getting from Republicans and exaggerates it. It was well done. I understood what they were doing as soon as I saw it.

I think Obama's reaction to this cover shows that he is not ready to be President. If he cannot take criticizm from Americans what is he going to do if he should get elected when people from other countries, especially our enemies, criticize him? Will he throw a temper tantrum and go hide under his bed? He's acting like an immature child!

As I stated when the primary season started, if Obama is the candidate he and/or the Democrats will label every criticizm of him as racist and that is what is happening. To criticize Barack Obama is racism. They've jumped on the Jesse Jackson bandwagon where several years ago the unReverend Jesse Jackson said that the only reason for whites to criticize a black person is racism. It does not matter if that criticizm is valid it is still racism. That seems to be the theme of Obama's campaign. "Criticize me and you are a racist."

mccain also spoke out against it and said it was offensive so maybe he isnt ready to be president either.

Freedom of speach and press should not intentionally insult someone. Its a low blow and their only attempt is to create controversy and bring attention to a mediocre low distribution magazine.

That New Yorker magazine is a fine publication.

The New Yorker missed the mark. It appears to me that satirical, well executed political cartoons make their point without the need for further explanation. Why even use Obama's image in the context of fear politics? One would think that a cartoon of Bush, Cheney and Rove designing a Homeland Security banner would have been more appropriate.

I think it was long past time Obama had to take a little flack. McCain has been taking it ever since he through his hat into the ring. Every news paper in the country has very non flattering cartoons of the president, it's just Obama's turn to experience a little jabbing. Why should he get the free pass he has been getting?

The media is constantly taking shots at McCain, Bush, and any member of the right side of the aisle. It's far past time that Obama take a little of the same. He's just a cry baby who's never had to make it for himself. He's the one who said he hoped oil went to $175 a barrel because it was good for America. Well I have news for him, even if they came up with a usable alternative fuel source, most working people would not be able to afford the vehicle. The perspective is much different if you weren't born with a silver spoon in your mouth.

I agree with the last posting. If you check the facts, Obama did not cry about the cover, but rather supported it as a blessing to be in a country that has the First Amendment protecting free speech. He did feel it was a little misleading, but that was all he said, despite what the (always wrong) Right Wing media spin on his comments have said...

Obama wants affordable gas and we will not buy your spin or those of your Right Wing allies to the opposite.
