Personally I do not care who Obama choses as his VP. I would never vote for him under any circumstances. I believe though that he will pick either Joe Biden or Bill Richardson. It would be a major blunder for him to pick Hillary Clinton (who, though I hate her, would make a better President than Obama) because she is too power mad. She would insist on being a full co-President with all the same authority as the President including veto power over legislation she did not like. Also, Obama would have to deal with her husband and the combination would be even more of a disaster than an Obama Presidency will be.

Ooooh just thought of the best running mate for Obama. Remember retired US Army General Wesley Clark? He ran for President in 2004. He had really strong, sensible ideas of how to deal with the war. plus his white/military background will help win over the south (since history has shown, no candidate can win without winning over the south).
