Before anyone blasts me, please note that I have absolutely NO problem with those who have immigrated here LEGALLY. My problem is with the millions who have come here without obeying the immigration laws. For any non-citizen, coming here to live is NOT a right. Coming here illegally makes them a criminal and they should be treated accordingly.

This is the country of opportunities ,that's why we are here. Give them a work visa and tell them to learn English before becomming residents. It won't hurt you, it will only make this country stronger and you'll see that those illegals will work hard for it. You guys need to tight your borders or you'll see bigger and stronger rallies within 10 or 20 years from now. The ones who bombed the crap out of you were legals , the ones who take care of your childrens, clean your mess and do the low payment jobs are illegals. Go figure...

Showing a Mexican flag will not gain them much credit from many Americans. They would probably get more respect if they waved the American flag.

I have been separated with my wife for years and our legal immigration case is still pending without any progress. Nothing has been done after I contacted the local USCIS, writting letter to congressional office many times, but still nothing has been done for our legal immigrants. The system seems always to reward the illegal ones and punish the legal ones...

I do think it would benefit the country, who's built its economy around ever-cheaper labor (here and in other parts of the world) to establish realistic steps to allow people who want to work here, to work here. But, it appears that because the people that would benefit most from this reform cannot vote, there's no incentive for politicians to seriously address this issue, other than to play off either side of the issue to bolster their voting base.
I also want to comment that the protest is for reform, not just for 'illegals' to necessarily be granted amnesty. As with our history of women voting, slaves owning land, military drafts, etc. perhaps the law needs to be rewritten. I know that if I were coming into this country desperate, faced with likely decades of paying thousands to lawyers, and a slew of legal run-around...well...I wouldn't consider myself a felon or a criminally-minded individual. It's survival, and the law/process is not currently sophisticated enough to work with reality.

The illegal migrant is here illegally and in turn has no rights to welfare - free medical - or any other benefit that a tax paying american pays for. I am not too happy paying extra hospital bills because an illegal alien goes to the hospital for anything from a hang nail to open heart surg, and cannot pay for it, so the hospital jacks up the dollars for those of us with insurance or have a job. well to try and answer your question, i am indian and i have heard it all including being told "go back to the reservation where you belong" i know there are alot of good people out there and dont hold it against an entire race because of what a few do. looking at the overall thing i can say if you go to visit someone dont piss on thier carpet. this is what happens when you dont teach your childeren manners before they leave home.
if anyone in this country knows about poverty and discrimination it is the indian people. so i understand when mexican immigrants say forget the borders and just let us come here. that would have to apply to the whole world. the world is drowning in people and pollution, at this rate a day will come when there wont be a better place to go.
