Are you satisfied with the safety changes put in place by Menzies Aviation over the past year at Sea-Tac Airport?

I've been flying out of SEATAC every other week for 4 years and I've watched the baggage handlers both before and after Menzies took over a couple of years ago.

Three times, our arriving aircraft have had to stop short of the gate because Menzies people had parked baggage carts in restricted areas at the gate. That never happened when Alaska Air employees were on duty.

I've noticed that Menzies people drive the tractors faster and don't always use the designated vehicle lanes when going long distances. Instead, they drive too close to parked aircraft.

And, of course, baggage handling is still slower with Menzies than it was with Alaska Airlines employees, even though things have improved.

There is a reason why I always have my luggage on board and not being handled by baggage handlers. It takes too long to arrive, too many times I've seen damage or lost luggage. Having it with me on board is pretty much the only guarantee my luggage arrives in one piece with my at my destination.
