Starting this year, Daylight Saving Time begins on the second Sunday in March and ends the first Sunday in November.
Do you think it was a good idea to move up Daylight Saving Time?

I do not think it is a good idea to set up the day light saving time because it makes it so much harder on the children to get up and get to the bus so early .
I do not see any reason why it should be changed.

We should eliminate Daylight Savings Time altogether.
It's crazy in this day and age to waste millions of dollars forcing people to change their clocks back and forth each year.
Just leave the clock alone!

I totally agree just leave the clocks the same year round a couple of other states do and all is well with them. Arizona is one of them. Sincerely Sharon Herrington

First, time is relative. It's only purpose is to mark how much we are spinning around in space. There is only so much daylight regardless of what the clock reads.

Personally, I dont think Daylight savings time is usefull at all, be it at the old dates or the new ones. It just messes with our trained times to get up and go to bed making it harder on kids especially. Its not like the time change actually helps anything, if there are 8 hours of light that day, there are still only 8 hours of light that day, and we still get up in the dark and go to bed in the dark.
Instead of playing with dates, lets just toss the whole time change gig in the trash bin of silly things we did in history.

The semi-annual changing of the clock has got be one of the most insane things that we do as a nation. Arizona has it right. Leave the clocks alone.

I agree on not changing the clocks. Why should we change the clocks forwards and backwards when we still have the same amount of daylight either way? Its hard on the working people, its hard on the children. Just leave the clocks alone and let us be.

It is a way of giving people a extra hour in the summer time......so if you get off at four....without dst your four would stay right where it is........insted of letting you off an hour early..........but people who don't work are usually oblivious to this tiny fact......I want off work as soon as possible in the summer......even if it is only an hour......

Who needs daylight at 5:00am??? Of course this is a good idea. Think of all the lights than do not need to be turned on at night because of this. That is allot of Energy Savings!! The children will get over it, as WE all did!
I agree, this is President Bush's only good idea in 6+ years!!

I am shocked at those that do not see the 'Light'..No one, not even your children can make use of daylight between 4-5:00 am, so why not have it light later when folks can appreciate their day after working all day?? It also conserves electricity people!! If you want to make it all one time than keep us on Daylight Savings all year round!
Bravo!!

For those of you who think Arizona has it right....MOVE THERE THAN!!! We don't want you!
Daylight Savings is awesome! Most of us work all day and love having daylight hours in the evening to enjoy with our families, while saving power at the same time....its a no brainer! Fantastic idea! Should have been extended years ago.

Wow, Arizona?? OK, so one backward state does not do what the rest of country does, so its a good idea?? C'mon people, please use your brains as some prior posters have. This saves $$, like millions of dollars! Think about it, when millions of people across the country are not using lights at night, that adds up! Plus, as mentioned, we can all make better use of daylight in the evening than we can at 4:00-5:00 am!! Think about it!

Maybe Arizona does have it right? Maybe we should just set our clocks to their time and leave it at that!

ARIZONA??? Are you kidding me, they got nothing right, like ever! What is wrong with additional hours of daylight at night to spend with our children after a hard days work?? Yeah, thats what I thought, NOTHING!! Not to mention helping the environment by conserving our precious energy. Its a wonderful idea, great job Congress, we salute you.

The changing time of the clocks is a pain, agreed. Since most people enjoy the daylight during the evening of the summer, why not leave things on DST?
If it was done as an energy saving measure, I think it will work, since you turn on the lights in the house an hour later in the evening. I don't know of many folks that get up to start their day at 4:00am nowdays to enjoy the daylight hours.

I say we might as well make 1 minute into 50 seconds, and add a few extra hours in a day. That way, there will be more hours in a day to get things done. 16 months in a year so the holiday season doesn't arrive so quick. (if you can't tell, I'm being sarcastic) The sun "rises" at a certian point and "goes down" at a certian point. Energy is not a man made product. It is only harnessed. The better energy is understood, the better is can be "saved".

Why can't we have daylight saving time all year round? since we are messing with the original time that we have had for how many years now? I hate it. I still have to get up at same time to go to work. need my nights sleep so go to be at same time. I DO NOT get any more daylight. How does it save energy. maybe no lights so early in the evening, but they come on in the morning now as it is dark. where are the extra hours?
