What do you think of the Amber Alert System? What would it make it work more effectively?

The Amber Alert is such a great Idea....all channels should be required to post a amber alert like they have for the emergency broadcast system...on all missing children within the respective state...Oregon's seems to me a little hit and miss....the radio stations seem to be more on the ball. Other than some fine tuning amber alert system is just one of those things that should have been invented a long time ago.....

I like the Amber Alert. It would be nice if the amber alert web page were more readily sortable by region, and that the reports gave more information on the situation (where available), aka is it a random abduction, a dangerous situation, or just mommy is an hour late for bringing the kids back from visitation rights. I very much like the freeway signs giving amber alert info, would be cool if they had more signs like that and perhaps an emergency radio station to give the full report information we could tune into while out on the road.

I think the Amber Alert is crap. I'm not being serious. The point is, I'd be suprised to find that someone doesn't think it's a good idea. Except for maybe those snatching or not returning children. Sure, there are some things that could be bettered. But I think any vigilant person that cares about the well being of children find it a good idea. And seriously, I think the Amber Alert is an exelent idea. Hopefully, it won't have to be used very much.

I think its pretty smart to get your neighbor and the government to spy on you in the name of saving children. Its a great idea. We could also institute other previously considered draconian systems in the name of saving children too. Like tapping of phones without warrants, that is a great idea who's time has come. Those pesky privacy laws shielding one's "privacy" should have been done away with long ago, they only protect criminals and are outdated anyway ! Governments have never harmed anyone. We should trust government to watch and listen in on us all the time. We should institute more systems like Amber Alert where we can accuse people driving down the highway of kidnapping kids, becauses its going to save a life. That kid who gets saved every few years, is worth the the few thousand minor incarcerations that will get arrested with false accusations, but so what! We saved that one kid! If a few thousand get shipped off to Abu Ghreb for interrogation for a few years, who cares ! Who would possibly go against the spending of tax dollars on multibillion dollar systems like Amber Alert too? Nobody should go against this! If you do you are with the enemy ! If you get people who do not want to spend the billions on these systems you can denigrate them by calling them criminals because they do not want to " protect the kids" . That always works. Citizens spying on each other is a good thing !Brilliant.
We should use the saving children motto for more reasons to take away those pesky personal liberty laws, which only sheilded criminals anyway ! If you have nothing to hide you should let the government and your neighbor spy on you! Its all in the name of saving children! We could even bomb Iran for example in the name of saving children too. I think its pretty smart.
