Justice has been served. Saddam Hussein was a tyrant who would stop at nothing to torture even his own people. He was a mass murderer, too, so yes, I think they did the right thing in hanging him.
Bruce Turner said:
Factually, he has murdered literally thousands of innocent people. Coupled with this there is absolutely no remorse, rather a pride and arrogance about his crimes. Let justice be served.

He was a shill for the new world order. USA funded and trained Saddam...we gave him all those so called weapons of mass destruction that we were so worried about. There's documented video of Rumsfeld meeting with Saddam in the 70's to give him these weapons. I guess you can never trust who your "friends" are, huh?
sassy said:
and one more side note...yeah, saddam killed a whole bunch of his people, but what do you think we're over there doing right now? We're freeing the hell out of them, eh? We (USA) gave him those weapons to use on his own people. So who are we to be judge and put him to death when we are murdering just as many people at this very minute in the name of the "war on terror" 655,000+ Iraq people have died, 3,000 of our own troops dead...I say that's a mission accomplished.
Michael Gilbert said:
Murderous tyrants should be executed. Justice has been served. I'm hopeful that the Iraqi people will now seize the opportunity to pursue genuine freedom for their nation. I also feel that it's appropriate for the world to see the outcome of lives lived like Saddam Hussein's.

We speak of the terrible things that happened under Sadam. Yet under Sadam, before we invaded, women could walk down the streets of the cities and feel safe. There were people working and doing regular jobs. If all the people that supposedly died under Sadam, according to Bush, were true, the whole country would be depopulated.
I do agree that Sadam was a very bad man and he did terrible things to the Kurds and the Shia, Yet Bush ordered this invasion, which has killed thouands of American troops, thousands and thousands of Iraqi dead.
All the sectarian violence, All the internal and external chaos, and the money wasted in the Invasion, the horrible waste, all leads back to George Bush.
Sadam was a Mad Man, and it would be easy to make the same claim for Bush.

I like how we, the USA, think we're the world police. Saddam was a puppet for the USA; we gave him those weapons of mass destruction that our
president lied about going to war for. If anything, our president should be tried as a tyrant. He's done way worse then Saddam. Here's the reasons why Bush should be tried as a tyrant:
-Lied about going to war for WMD's. Our young citizens have died because Bush lied to get us to invade Iraq. What ever happened to the war in Afghanistan? Anyone remember that war? What happened to the ORIGINAL guy (OSAMA) we were suppose to be going after? We just don't care if he's running around still, but we're winning the war on terror cause we stuck it to Saddam today?
-Bush allows depleted uranium weapons to be used over in Iraq. It's making our troops and people over in Iraq sick. (what do you think caused all our troops to come back with this "mysterious" new illness called Gulf War Syndrome?) Depleted uranium has a half life of over a billion years. Our planet and the people that inhibit it our doomed.
-If Bush wasn't involved directly with 9/11, he sure is guilty of negligence. It's proven fact that Bush was warned several times, by several sources, that there were going to be attacks on the twin towers. If he chose to ignore repeated warnings from multiple sources, and he let 3,000 of our own people die on our soil, then he needs to be hung himself. As president of this country, you don't sit by idle while you're receiving multiple warnings of planned attacks on your own citizens and DO NOTHING ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!! That fact alone should convict Bush of treason to his country by letting the attacks happens while sitting there like a fool.
-He continues to lead our young into the slaughterhouse like a bunch of sheep, so he and his friends can make more profits off the war. Him and his goons have even said this war will last decades. They don't plan on leaving as long as you're willing to send your own flesh and blood to be sacrificed for this fake war on terror.
-Bush was caught tapping American's phone lines, so what does he do? He decides he'll make it into law that he CAN wiretap everyone's phone- violation of the fourth amendment.
-He lets the boarders be left wide open. If we're trying to stop terrorists, why are the boarders wide open to let everyone through?
-He signed military commissons act HR 6166 in October that destroyed our whole Bill of Rights. Does the average American know about this? Nope of course not...
-Bush is not for the American people's interests...he's bought and paid off by lobbyists and global corporations. He and his henchmen own and have stocks in oil companies and pharmaceutical companies. Two of the biggest money making markets on the planet and you think your best interest is going to be of concern?
I could give 20 billion more reasons, but those listed above should be enough to convict his fake conservative, fake Christian behind!!! For more info go to www.infowars.com

No one is waiting to see the footage of Saddam being hanged on TV. Some of the writers above had a good point .. no matter what he did .. at least the people could walk safely on the streets in Bagdad .. if the current situation is what GW sees as a democracy I can understand that other countries are trying as hard to keep the US out. Currently there is a civil war that has killed more then a 100,000 Iraqi civilians .. something the news will barely mention.

Yes Saddam was a murderer. Let's also not forget that picture of Donald Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam right after Saddam gassed the Kurds with chemical weapons the United States sold him. You can find the picture and the facts on the web. Don't forget also that Iraq has the 2nd largest oil reserves in the world and that major oil companies are shipping it out of Iraq at this very moment and not giving our country a penny.
Don't get mad, just think for yourself and do research. Sometimes the truth is uncomfortable. I love the nation but I'm not going to be blind to the misdeeds of the filthy rich elite who are no patriots.

I agree with the execution, however the Iraqi political environment is such that it will make sure someone more heinous will lead the way after we are gone from the Iraqi soil. It seems common that when we are the world police and try to give someone a fresh start at democracy/self governance...they will make sure we, the world, and all their insignificant citizens pay dearly. The problem with extremist society is that there is a reason for them being extreme...it is what they know.
Oh and to all those people that think we shouldn't attempt to police the world...your right...let's pull out of everywhere other than American soil. Screw South Korea, Japan, etc, etc...not our problem...it would make for such a better world if Iraq was now extended through Kuwait (and citizens exterminated like roaches) and there was only one Korea, etc. Maybe China could start invading Western Europe...cool makes things more simple...we dont have to have trade alliances with anybody on the other side of the ocean except China.
After all we should look at them sternly and say "Your not playing nice with others...you are naughty" and all will be okay.
Not that I agree particulary with everything that is happening, but waving a peace flag and saying "we condemn your actions" ain't going to do squat.

I also dont think that as a result of his exacution there will be many changes in the government but they may be getting closer. I don't know how to put this lightly, but you're an idiot. Saddam wasn't the one who did 9/11. Bush even admits Saddam has nothing to do with 9/11. It's proven fact. You can't deny or debate facts. Do you sit there mindlessly listening to those chicken-hawks all day repeat the same lie over and over until you believe it? My god! When 9/11 happened it was supposidly blamed on those 19 highjackers from SAUDI ARABIA (NOTE: NOT Afghanistan, NOT IRAQ, they were from saudi arabia). But do we go and try to take over Saudi Arabia? Of course not! They're our friends! Then 9/11 was blaimed on Osama (CIA trained OSAMA), which he couldn't of had the strength to do alone cause his kidney's were failing. Not to mention, you can't tell me some people from a cave had the connections to make our 250 billion dollar defense system (NORAD) stand down while our own citizens are being attacked. So in closing, stop listening to everything you're spoonfed, Kay. You shouldn't be worried about dictators from other countries...you should be worried about the dictator (oh, excuse me, THE DECIDER) of our own country.

Here is another idea for you...we need to send economic assistance and US Agriculture advisors to every 3rd world country to give them the expertise and ability to grow coca, opium poppies, marijuana. That way they can grow their gross national product and bring themselves out of poverty...because we know that drug lords and governments associated with them are good citizens and treat people well.

On another note, I feel the U.S. has no business trying to be the police for the world, we have our own problems that need to be addressed, such as homelessness, drugs, poverty...Why can't our money be used to help others in our country, rather than letting other nations figure out things for themselves, I don't see anyone sending people over here to help us develop a better educational system for our youth or helping the many homeless that roam the streest in every town.

Again I appraciate all the liberal views on this, after all our constitution guarantees it, thankfully. But again...I wish we could leave all the other countries alone and not participate. However we can't be control freaks.
I don't believe in this war as this matter should have been taken care of swiftly 15 years ago (to include Saddam), but to say we can focus on solely our own issues is absurd. Fair trial issues aside (Should have just hung him as we can't place our values on a society that doesn't believe in our values. Afterall...we need to protect their interests so they can send their sons to kill their daughters, etc, etc. Yes I agree we should let them be...let the countries cane, strangle, mutilate, starve, torture, use them for experiments, etc...its not our place other than saying "we condemn you" in the international media).
Can you think of one instance where the United Nations or any other international body has been effective in dealing with anything in the recent decades. It is working great in North Korea, Iran, and etc, etc...you betcha.
Again, blowing hot air "We codemn your actions" again and again does nothing but get you out of breath. We should retreat and defend our borders and work on our issues...oh wait...your against that too. Military intervention in society to fix homelessness, drug trafficking, street violence/abuse, etc...Communist. There is not a win here...you see you can't be pleased.

Saddam was an evil man, determined to force his own vision of righteousness on inhabitants of the "Middle East". Though he was guilty on many counts and deserved his sentence, executions only go this quick when a scapegoat has been pinned. The trial of Saddam Hussein shall continue in Iraq after his death. Ask yourself again if justice has truly been served? Let us not forget his early years when in the shadows lurked US officials with their own vision of righteousness, willing to do anything to ensure this "dictator" remains in power. With our track record, is it any wonder why the rest of the world hates us.
I am an American through and through and I love this country; I believe in an "eye for eye, tooth for a tooth" judicial system. But what happens now and in the future? An evil person is put to rest, a country is increasingly unstable, as many as 40,000 Iraqi civilians are unjustly dead, we have lost 3,000 military personel. What did we benefit? Cheaper gas? Better sense of mankind? Knowing that "our God" allowed us to take Saddam out?
Perhaps we shall never know the true reason behind our decision to invade Iraq. It certainly had nothing to do with 9/11 other than serving as a platform. And for that reason alone, I look forward to the day when the true "evildoers" are taken up on war crimes.
Seems justice has yet to be served.

C'mon Folks this is all in Gods Hands. Even in the so-called Bible Code it mentions an arrow to Saddams Heart not meaning a literal arrow but most likely it is figuratively speaking. Saddam claimed to be a modern day Nebuchadnezzar. He murdered millions we all know and his sons would of murdered millions more when they took power. Its so plain to see how we seem to be living in the last days which i know alot of u may emphatically deny but Satan is behind all this killing... Saddam is just a convenient pawn like Osama. Allah the so called Muslim God is not the same God as the Christian God and even though i'd have muslims at my front door if i told them that Allah was actually a demon its no surprise Saddam would take the Koran/Quran Bible and use it as his guide to salvation. Most Muslims most likely don't know it but they hate Christians if u look deep into their religion. But in the end every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. In the meantime we have to try to get thru this life the best we can and if its Saddams time to go so be it. He is unrepentent and very Evil It was Saddams day to sit at the right hand of Satan so we might as well kick back and enjoy the ride the best we can. There isn't a whole lot we can do about it accept pray.... And a word to Osama bin Ladin and company... Your day is coming!

It is sad that people think this is an act of God. Looking at some of the other comments I would say that many people don't look beyond their comfort range and use the bible as a reference. For the sake of your own mental grace, please read more than conservative religious articles. Not only will you learn something, you will be able to generate better arguments. Otherwise, stick to quoting less abstract writings such as the Matrix.

Thank God we live in a world where we can have the comfort to live in our houses free of someone like sadam. Do we not excute people like Ted Bundie etc. Justice was served. As for our military men when they sign up in the service to our country dont u think they know the risks they are taking that they might be called to serve in a war.I fill great sorrow for all the familys who lost a love one in this war and wish theses things didn't happen. Theses things happen and again thank God we live here and not in sadam country. If I lived under sadams rule I would want a nother country to help liberate us.

In other words, there was no alternative. The thing is, had we not invaded Iraq, Saddam would still be in power and murdering and torchering his own people. Now the Iraqis have a gutless government and no leadership from us, other than setting up a puppet government. There should be a goal of a troop total pullout by the next election. Then, the united fresh-thinking Republicans will join the majority democrats of all three branches of government and finally the whole world will take a breath of relief.

unfair trial
I think he had a better control of the country when he was ruling.
We believe Saddam Hussein should be executed as he has killed many other people very wrongfully. He is a bad man and deserves to be hanged. Saddam started the war that is taking place in Iraq and is costing us alot of american lives.
I think Saddam should be Executed because he killed people in the way he should not have done He should be hanged
Saddam should be hanged because he have killed people
in the way of bad. He should be sentenced to death
Justice has been served. Saddam Hussein was a tyrant who would stop at nothing to torture even his own people. He was a mass murderer, too, so yes, I think they did the right thing in hanging him.
I guess you can never trust who your "friends" are, huh?
and one more side note...yeah, saddam killed a whole bunch of his people, but what do you think we're over there doing right now? We're freeing the hell out of them, eh? We (USA) gave him those weapons to use on his own people. So who are we to be judge and put him to death when we are murdering just as many people at this very minute in the name of the "war on terror" 655,000+ Iraq people have died, 3,000 of our own troops dead...I say that's a mission accomplished.
God Bless Preident Bush for going after the Country that PAYED for 9/11 to happen and got rid of the one that paid it.
I thought I'd be happy and releived he was executed. But,I have surprised myself; after reading the headlines I found myself feeling sad and sorry for him. Why? I haven't figured it(feelings)out yet.

Dare you to put that comment on TV...

"The CIA owns everyone of any significance in the major media" - William Colby former director of the CIA
"There exists a shadowy government with its own Air Force, its own Navy, its own fundraising mechanism, and the ability to pursue its own ideas of the national interest, free from all checks and balances, and free from the law itself." - Senator Daniel K. Inouye
"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."
- Herman Goering, Nazi General of Propaganda
9/11 was constructed by forces within our own government to scare us into war and hate.
My family and many others were driven from our country ruled by an evil like Saddam. My whole family wered ordered to be execute because my dad was helping the American but we got out before he was to be executed. It is sad to see any body die but you have to be my shoe in order to feel that justice is served. I'm not from Iraq, I'm from a country that had the same practice as Saddam. It didn't solve anything but it feels good to know justice has been served for all the victims.
I think they should feed the remains to the buzzards, the wild-Life have got to eat also, no need exploiting trash and past news, he got what he deserved and like clint Eastwood said in "a mule for sister sahara" The buzzards have to eat, hang um high Clint.
Saddam was caught three weeks earlier by Kurds on the Kurds/Sunni boarder. The Kurds handed him over to the USA so we could throw him in that infamous spider hole for that photo opp. Bush was only trying to justify to the American people why our troops were over there butchering, rapping, and terrorizing the Iraq people; all for a lie about WMD's. He wanted to put America back to sleep because who could go on living knowing their sons and/or daughters are being killed off for a lie?
America - Iraq War: One dictator down, one to go!
Saddam is a modern day Hitler and received what he deserved. I would hate to be in his shoes facing the next life and judgement!!!!!!!
Saddam is a modern day Hitler and received what he deserved. I would hate to be in his shoes facing the next life and judgement!!!!!!!
Saddam is a modern day Hitler and received what he deserved. I would hate to be in his shoes facing the next life and judgement!!!!!!!
I have lived and worked with these people who were vitims of the dictator feeling their deep victimized emotion of the death and fear in there eyes of what they have lived with under this man and the loss of there loved ones and there suffer. It surley would have to give them some relief to know that a part of there pain and angish has some relief that there is some justice in this world when such pain and suffer is inflicted on any one in this world with no real resonable cause other than a evil hand in charge. Thank you Lisa
To bad we the United States doesn't have such a prompt sentence to crimes done to others. We wouldn't have home invasions nor crowded jails and all the senseless gang killings. The US is out of control with the same crimes as Saddam and that is beating old men and women out of their morning walk just for the thrill of it. This will continue until all the US States change their laws and get these thrill seekers off the streets. What happen to "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness"? Bring all of Armed Forces Men and Women home and let them clean up the US before it's too late..........
i think that hanging him means we are going to lose more troops and alot more people in general just of principle. i think he got off easy by getting to die. my prayers are with all of the people over there and especially our troops and my son who are doing what they are ordered to do.
Saddam is the "International" version of Jim Jones. It is good that we got him out of power. It is sad, though, that so many precious lives were sacrificed up to this point. Is America headed in the same direction?
While there, I talked to some of the Iraqi People and they did not like him for his actions. I think this is a great step forward to see him removed permanantly. We should take action like that in the U.S.
The problem with people in this world is the lack of constant thought, I believe Saddam needed to be put to death and all the commet prior talk about the war this is not about the war, but about the in justice, ei if a person was to murder a small town in rural Washington and we had the killer we would most likely execute them????? after trial. this trial was fair and the out come correct. ( ps to to the producer of the news how about seperating the Ford story and
Saddam story with another these two men are way different, if not because of that, try out of respect )
If justice is killing a dictator whom the USA targetted, then who is next on the list? We set ourselves up as judge and jury for the world and in our own way spred terrorism on Mother Earth in the name of God. President Bush is right when he says the execution of Hussein will not end terrorism. Watch for who is next to feel his wrath.
I think this is the best celebration for everyone. Iraqis will be starting a new year without the fear of saddam haunting them, or his military men busting down doors and killing families. I feel justice has been served in full
I think saddam got what he deserved! He caused alot of people pain and misery to the people in New York City where my uncle lives and to the people In Iraq and also to the people of the United State Army etc... So i'm happy that saddam was hung because he was nothing but a terrorist and a killer!! now people can rest a little bit better knowing that one of the terrorist has been caught!
Kay
Sadam was a tyrant and was tried by an Iraqi court and they saw fit to execute him. It is no longer in anyone's hands and what has been done is done. Sadam got pretty much what he had done to others without any trials, at least he had the benefit of a trial.
Gary
P.S. im also glad that his brother's were killed too because they were just as bad!!
Kay
I am glad he is gone. the Lord will deal with him now.
It's about time. No murderer should be allowed to live. An eye for an eye - a tooth for a tooth. Justice has been served.
As a former Marine in the Gulf War, and a current soldier in the Army I am glad to see Saddam Hussien finally executed. Most of the American citizens don't realize what that man has done over the years. You cannot compare his crimes tho those of American criminals, he was not just a threat to Iraq, but a threat to the world as a whole. God bless the Iraqi government for executing him so quickly. And God bless America. - SGT Harper Peterson
THIS I THINK IS A JOKE HE SHOULD OF BEEN HUNG AT THE TIME HE WAS CAUGHT. IT JUST TELL'S EVERYONE HOW LONG IT TAKES FOR ANYTHING TO GET DONE AROUND HERE IN THE US. THE PEOPLE ON THESE NEW CHANNELS HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO TALK ABOUT EXCEPT FOR STUPID THINGS LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE IN THE AIRPORT THAT SOMEONE DIDNT LIKE. OR BRITNEY SPEARS JUST TO NAME A LITTLE THINK ABOUT ALL THE PROBLEMS AROUND THE WORLD LIKE THE TSUNAMI THAT IS LESS TALKED ABOUT THESE DAYS THIS COUNTRY HAS THE TAKEN A TURN FOR THE WORST. THIS COUNTRY IS THE MOST SELFISH AND DISREPECTFUL COUNTRY I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE IN DIFFERENT COUNTRYS THAT ARE MUCH POORER THEN THE PEOPLE HERE IN THE US THAT GIVE MORE THEN THE STINGY AMERICAN'S HERE.
I think that if they wanted to kill him they should have used lethal injection. We are in different times that we should not use the hanging anymore. How do you try to teach a country do be a better place if we allow that. If we talk about all that I think George bush is guilty of murder too.
Dear ajtornga,
Just let me know when you'd like for me to drive you to the Canadian border! If you don't like the way the country is heading, Canada will gladly take you. Further more, the US didn't try Saddam or execute him...Iraq did.
A Loyal American Citizen
We can all sleep more peacefully to know that the person responsible for humanity's destruction is dead but not peaceful enough knowing that the war in Iraq won't end any time soon.
I believe everyone has a chance to be forgiven and it was wrong to hang him. Yes he did kill millions, destroyed lifes but no one can judge him except god.
I think it will bring a sense of closure to many as well as fuel further outrage against American forces. One thing is true: he will never order another person murdered for speaking their mind.
Saddam has done terrible things, but killing him has probably only made things worse life in prison would have made less impact on Iraq...but things are only going to get worse now
Some are saying that the war has taken more lives than saddam but it dosn't make what saddam did ok, its not the same thing. I'm glad to see him gone but I'm wondering why it took them so long to do it- we knew it was going to happen. But I don't think the execution will end anything, I'm not sure if it was revenge or justice.
I think that in a way what he did was wrong. I really feel sorry for his family though. I think instead of exacuting him they should have fined him and put him in prison for a long time, though this was the Iraqi's government choice, I think that they should have took into consideration that they still are killing a person and that his family, friends and followers will be upset. I also dont think that as a result of his exacution there will be many changes in the government but they may be getting closer. All in all, I think that a different punishment could have been assinged to the criminal that would be fair for both sides of the argument.
It's about time they did what we knew had to be done
Kay,
I don't know how to put this lightly, but you're an idiot.

History has proven that all great empires will fall.
It's really sad any of this had to happened in the first place. It's too bad we don't live in a utopia world. I don't like the fact our troops are having to die more than anybody else. However, a man like Saddam Hussein has no place in our world. If we don't rid the world of people like Saddam many more innocent lives will be at stake. Unfortunately a few thousand of our troops must die which is not right but millions more even ourselves could perish at the hands of people like Saddam. To me as terrible as it seems a few thousand of our soldiers is a fraction of the price that must be paid in order to save millions. God bless our troops it's a shame for them to die but his sons were on the horizon as being Iraqs new leaders after Saddam passed on. Just think of the many more millions that could of died under their rule. Once again, God bless our troops and America that has the courage to atleast try whether we succeed or not. And may Jesus always be with our troops. Ty
The one thing I hope for is the People of Iraqi can get on with there lives. It's about time the peoples voices were heard, and justice was served.I feel very sorry for the lives that were lost and the number of American Soldiers that gave the ultimate sacrifice, to bring Saddam to justice. God Bless our young Men and Women in uniform, and bring them all back home to there families.Great job and we love you for your courage, and what we stand for. Peace...
What has killing Sadaam Hussein proven, except that Americans are still killing Iraqi citizens. I think the hanging of Saadaam is only a ploy by George Bush to cover up his lies about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. Since when does America care about foreign government killing its own people. If America really went after Sadaam for what he did to the Kurds, why not clear all the dictators in the many African countries that are currently committing genocide. America, wake up and smell the bulll that the Bush administration is shoveling to you!
I think that Saddams execution was necessary, because a lot of Iraqi's lived in fear of his return to rule and this act has made that impossible. From this point things in Iraq should get better.
I think Saddam got off easy. Picture of the hundreds of thousands of people he made suffer. The people he murdered. His hanging was justice served for those killed by his hand. If anything, his hanging wasn't enough. He should have been tortured repeatedly to the brink of death before finally hanging him.
The Bush & co finally got rid of the evil Saddam, even thou they helped him become the evil one...now they should get out of Iraq and let the Iraq's run their country or Bush & Co can move over there and run the country..God Bless America Good riddance to Sadam
Saddam was an evil man - who acted out with evil, cruel deeds. Hanging is too good for this monster. He is lucky that those who sentenced him acted professionally - and he got a nice painless hanging. He should have been killed in the way he killed so many others - THAT would be justice!
After watching his trial, and his utter lack of respect for the courts, which were judging him; his lawyer who was defending him, and to the people whos lives he took....I was glad to see him swing...If hes going to talk smack, let him talk it to ALLAHA..
I can't believe what USA is doing to the entire world!..Sadam was killed because Bush was finalizing the homework that his dad started. We have nothing to do deciding what other countries must do. Now Bush gets the control for the oil over there. How come Sadam came into the picture anyway!..We should have been after Osama not Sadam!..I guess Chavez was right! (Bush is the Devil!) Follow the money and you will see the trail of corruption with defense contracts that Chainey is tied to!..incl. Bush and his family!! Wake UP AMERICA!!!! Check out AAron Russos New Documentary "America freedom to fascism"
Saddam was killed for being the murderous tyrant that he was. The liberal media would like everyone to believe that the trial was unfair and that we funded his arms development. This is just more false secular progressive garbage. Documentaries made by the likes of Aaron Russo, and Fat Mike Moore throw spins on reality. The Iraq war is a mess, but Saddam deserved to be hung like the pig vomit he is. God Bless America.
You are right that this war was about supply of oil and thats it. To bad...we should have found and killed him in the 1st Gulf War and shored up the oil supply...would've saved alot of frustration....oh but it was the liberals like you that would have screamed in the street and called George H the devil.
I hope your utopian society happens...your about ready to get a liberal back in the white house and we can throw out "We codemn your actions" until we're blue in the face if that makes you happy.
We can also throw out a couple "Your blatant disregard for the value of human life and the rules of a peaceable world...we wish for you to cease your current course of action" or we will repeatedly tell you that "We condemn your actions" until you be become one our utopian make believe world.
Here is another idea for you...we need to send economic assistance and US Agriculture advisors to every 3rd world country to give them the expertise and ability to grow coca, opium poppies, marijuana. We should also teach them to cook meth. That way they can grow their gross national product and bring themselves out of poverty...because we know that drug lords and governments associated with them are good citizens and treat people well.
Sadam hanging is media circus which fails to address the real issues.
Unless we bring peace to the middle east we will never solve the problem of terrorism.
Our uncoditional support of Israel and its human right violation on a massive scale is against the priciples what we stand for.
Stong Israeli lobby by manipulating our foreign policies does not help promote world peace and cause for the welfare of the jews
Lets treat the world with dignity compassion and care before we complain that the world does not undersatand us.
I love my country dearly and its people and thats not where the problem is.
George Bush and Saddam captured and killed, the cost of killing this one man cost the lives of almost 3000 young Americans, and 500,000 Iraqi civilians. Bush and his co-horts are guilty of the same crimes as Saddam but unfortunately will never be called to on to account,in this life. In God's time Bush will surely join Saddam in Hell.
Execution of Saddam after a very unfair trial is bound to unleash more terror in Iraq. Hats off to the man for his courage who went to gallows without a hood.
May ALLAH have mercy on him. by the way it is better if he deid and he was freed from custody finally he found freedom MAY HIS SOUAL REST IN PEACE INSHALLAH.
NOW LETS HANG GORGE BUSH NAD TONY BLAIR THEY A RESPONSIBLE FOR THE KILLING OUR TROOPS.
Saddam & Son's 0, IRAQ, 1 As for all of the "Hate Bush and Blair Club" or the "Bush is Hitler Club" or the "Bush Knew About 911 Club" or the "US Military Rapes Club" or the "Anti-America Club" The "Hanoi Jane and John Kerry Club" are looking for new members! I'll pay your dues! John
Saddam Hussein was fairly treated given the crimes that he committed; nevertheless, his death will not make a difference in the lives of the many families in which he has ruined.
Shame on Bush, He is not any better than Saddam.
We can not use power to take a country and hang
a leader.
Bush had made a lie to go to Iraq, to get thousand of people get killed.
His final purpose is to kill Saddam, who had no
connection to 911.
There is no solution for Iraq right now. We are stucked. We, american, and the whole world are paying for Bush's hatred action.
Again I appraciate all the liberal views on this, after all our constitution guarantees it, thankfully. But again...I wish we could leave all the other countries alone and not participate. GROW UP can't happen and never will...even with a liberal in the White House. The reality is that we must intervene in the world otherwise the US is negatively impacted and out of our control.
Seems justice has yet to be served.
victors juistice;too bad it was not Bushe's kneck in the noose
JOHANNA was the person who was glad to see him swing. NOT (howie)........and for the record if it was not for the british creating kawait we would not have been pulled into this.....stuff...so it wasnt bush who started all of this. and to think that people give him so much credit on one hand....and yet on the other say he is stupid.......so when ya all make up yer mind.....
Your day is coming!
i think justiced has been served in the hanging of sadam someone who takes joy in torturing and killing people should face the same as they give.
It is sad that people think this is an act of God. Looking at some of the other comments I would say that many people don't look beyond their comfort range and use the bible as a reference. For the sake of your own mental grace, please read more than conservative religious articles. Not only will you learn something, you will be able to generate better arguments. Otherwise, stick to quoting less abstract writings such as the Matrix.
his execution was not slow or painful enough. he should have been tortured and gassed just like the thousands of his victims. he was brutal and a tyrant who gained power thru murder.
GOD BLESS AMERICA
I don't believe any killer deserves to live. Why waste time and money on murderes. We need to set examples instead of babying them. Now Suddam can visit his buddy Hitler.
If only the death penalty worked that swiftly
in the US. Well done Iraqi's
Rob .. do you really think that half a million Iraqi people losing their life is what you consider democracy ? Sadam was a bad guy indeed, but the country isn't safer at all with him removed. Instead a breading ground for terrorism was created.
When will we hang George W Bush for all the people he has killed while in office?
THE MEDIA IN LAST FEW DAYS BEEN SAYING THE NEW IRAQ GOVERNMENT BEEN RUSHING THE HANGING OF SUDDAM! HOW CAN ONE HONESTLY SAY THAT THE GOVERNMENT WAS RUSHING, IT'S BEEN THREE YEARS FOR FOR THE TRIAL TO CONCULDE. REMEMBER THIS; IT WASN'T THE GOOD OL USA THAT HUNG HIM! IT WAS HIS OWN PEOPLE.
THEOLDOG
While Islam and Judiasm continue in the old testament.... Eye for Eye Tooth for Tooth, We in the Christian world should teach forgiveness.. We have not established our selves or our ways as any less vengfull as theirs...
To take a life is wrong. However, when in Rome...
Saddam was the only one that could keep Iraq under control. We wasted our time. The only way Iraq will have peace again is when someone just like Saddam is in power. Thats the way it works in the Middle East.
I think it (execution) sends a message to other Saddam-like leaders to reconsider their goals. Because of the Westernized themed "globalization" of market trade and what the youth demand, acceptance is inevitable of American foreign policy.
