What do you think of Seattle's new tourism slogan "metronatural"?

Give 'em a "YUCK STICKER"! Do people get paid for this type of thinking?

Why are we spending 200k on a tourism slogan. What is natural about metro Seattle? Say WA was stupid too.

Metronatural doesn't feel like a positive statement about Seattle to me. I associate the word metro with sexual and by the time that wears off...we will have some new even sillier slogan.

Also, the amount of money wasted on these new slogan hunts is staggering! $300,000 is just the beginning. How much is it going to cost to make new stationary, new tourism magazines, new websites??? What a waste!

$200,000 for that when we can't fix roads, can't keep libraries open, don't have enough money for schools, and on and on and on and yet we can paint an 18-inch idiotic sign on top of the Space Needle. And what does the logo mean, besides a couple of hundred thousand dollars in someone's pocket. PLEASE. Don't insult my intelligence, civic responsiblity and life values like this.

I wish I was back in my home state. Here's a better slogan, Seattle, a nice place to visit but you wouldn't want to live here. Offer $1 to the person who comes up with a better slogan and have one in less than a day for $199,999 less than they spent.

How about a slogan that says we're high tech, most wired, fast, beautiful mountains and forests.. something that would attract people to come here. Not scare them off.

Seattle better be careful what it wishes for! I live in Idaho and Seattle's SAY WA and MetroNatural logos are a joke. Seattle is a beautiful, wonderful city with terrific people. The city sells itself. Why does it even need a logo? It is a waste of money. The tourism board would make a better name for itself and Seattle by putting that half-a-million dollars towards cancer research and children's hospitals or other worthy causes.

Apparently, people in Seattle have a lot of money, a lot of time to waste, and are very bored.
Puleeeeezzz, tell me this is a joke.....right?....right????

And we are paying taxes for this kind of mentality?
